Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday 8AM-5PM
- Friday 8AM-2PM
Summary: The Technician Apprentice role offers hands-on training and the opportunity to develop technical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. In this role you will assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of equipment, systems, or machinery while gaining practical knowledge in the field.
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items:
- Collaborate with a Licensed Technician in the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems.
- Assist in performing routine inspections and tests to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Support Senior Technicians in diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
- Learn and follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Complete electronic work orders, reports, and a variety of electronic documents.
- Participate in training sessions and acquire certifications as required.
- Learn local and state fire and building codes and how to apply those to system design
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Provide feedback and report progress to supervisors regularly.
- Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
- Work on multiple system types if needed.
- Stay current with changing technology, including software and field services programs.
- Obtain and keep up to date on license requirements.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Applicants for this Technician Apprentice position should be prepared to obtain their company provided Trainee License immediately
- Prepared to obtain the NICET I or ESA equivalent by the end of apprenticeship program.
- A valid state driver's license
Compensation
$15-$17 per hour
