American Alarms was started in the basement of Bill Jacob's house in 1983. With his training in electronics from DM Tech HS and the US Army, Bill had the background to teach anyone with the desire to learn. By gradually adding team members that believe the same way, American Alarms has become a leader in user-friendly life safety and security systems.

Summary: The Security Technician installs, programs, maintains, or repairs security systems wiring and equipment. Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant security codes and standards.
Essential Duties:
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to pass a background check.
A valid state driver's license is required for this position.
Physical requirements: must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods of time and reach with arms and hands.
